Today was a glorious day spent relishing the warmth and sunny spring weather. My flat mates and I ate lunch on our balcony and people watched and wondered why there were random groups of Spaniards dressed up and all going the same direction. Our answers were never discovered, but the man in the bumblebee dress with a pink mohawk and the man in the wedding dress were thoroughly amusing (and at first we thought they were bachelor parties...but there were so many of them)! Later, we rambled over to the park and then ambled about the city, window shopping and getting ice cream.

To top the lovely evening off, I met up with some of my ISA friends and we went tapas hopping – fried eggplant with honey, empanadas, fried rice, Asian noodles, chicken wings, fried crab claws, and spring rolls were our tapas for the evening; all was accompanied by tintos de verano, sweet wine, and a shot of tequila. The evening would not have been the huge success it was though, if it weren’t for us ending up in the bar Six Colours – a gay bar with drag queens dressed up in flamenco dresses! It was such a fun evening!
