Today, when I walked up to my class at the facultad I discovered that, not only was it a holiday celebrating an anniversary of the founder of this particular college, but that many of the students were having a grand ol’ party right on the front steps – drinking beers and bottled sangrias, waiting for the paella promised on flyers all over the school – and the most surprising part was that the school doors were open so the students were allowed to use the bathrooms and wander around a bit.
